An opportunity exists for an experienced individual to join our busy Finance Team on a part-time basis (30 hours per week) to administer the AP/AR functions and provide broad support across the accounting functions for several business entities. Key responsibilities will include:
- End to end accounts payable, including reconciliations, payment runs and maintaining up-to-date creditor data in the finance system.
- Processing civil payment claims.
- Performing bank reconciliations and reporting for project related accounts.
- General accounts receivable duties.
- Preparation of monthly & quarterly BAS returns.
- Responding to internal and external accounts enquiries and resolving issues.
To succeed in this role you will need a high level of team spirit coupled with a positive and flexible attitude to work tasks, meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management and effective communication skills. You must also be able to demonstrate:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with well-developed skills in AP/AR and account reconciliations.
- Well-developed financial literacy and numerical skills.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Experience with MYOB Advance and ProSpend (preferred).
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Word and Excel.
