Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, this is a hands-on, full-function role where you will have responsibility for your own diverse ledger of suppliers in Australia and New Zealand. You will work autonomously within a team environment, be self-motivated to achieve individual targets and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Exceptional communication skills with our suppliers and strong knowledge of the Procure to Pay cycle in a distribution or wholesale environment is vital to this role. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a dynamic and continually changing environment. Experience using ERP systems such as Pronto and Netsuite will be an advantage for this role but is not necessary, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for a mixed ledger of suppliers including business critical suppliers
- Manage outstanding items in the AP automation software (Redmap) to ensure transactions are posted in a timely manner
- Resolve discrepancies between PO and invoice
- Schedule payment runs and upload to bank, ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed payment terms
- Manage telephone and email queries
- Reconcile major supplier statements
- Ad-hoc duties
Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
This role requires strong understanding of full-function Accounts Payable. You will be able to prioritise, as well as build strong internal and external relationships quickly. Additionally, you will require the following attributes:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a full function Accounts Payable role
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong Supplier focus with a good understanding of commercial practices
- Strong systems experience – Pronto, Netsuite and Redmap knowledge is an advantage
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
