We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer to support our busy Finance department. This full-time permanent role will report to the Senior Manager – Financial Operations whilst working alongside our professional team of accounting staff.
- Key elements of this role include:
- Uploading automated invoices and entry of manual invoices into the accounting system
- Ensure all Invoices are processed in Oracle in a timely manner
- Cost coding of invoices
- Completion of Bank Account reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Reconciliation between Accounts Payable ledger and General Ledger
- Month end closure of the AP module
- Production of monthly creditors statements and reconciliations to receipts
- Processing of employee expense claims
- Ensuring that daily banking has been performed
- Management of aged creditors
- Analyse current process and procedures and suggest improvements so that efficiencies are gained. This scope covers both manual processes and also Oracle related initiatives
- Maintain efficient filing system
- Assist Finance team with ad-hoc duties as required
Who Are You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Have a minimum of two years previous experience in an Accounts Payable position with exposure to accounting software.
- Competent in the use of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Friendly and professional phone manner
- Team player with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn
- knowledge of Oracle is desirable but not essential
