We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Customer Service Officer to provide solution focused engagements as part of our customer contact centre. This includes assisting consumers (patients) through telephone contacts, webportal, email correspondence and administrative tasks. The focus of this role is the resolution of consumer (patient) billing for Ambulance Victoria Service fees. As part of this role you will contribute to upholding high levels of service delivery, adherence to statutory obligations and teamwork within our Finance Department.
This Part Time, Permanent position is for 18 hours per week with opportunity to negotiate days/times within standard office hours based in our Ballarat office.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader AR Customer Service, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide a high standard of Customer Service engagement identifying customers' needs
  • Maintain accurate records and confidentiality of records associated with customer account details compliant with record management
  • Develop and foster constructive and effective working relationships within FTS and across the division
  • Undertake general administrative duties and other tasks
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
  • Certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer Service skills with an ability meet performance call handling targets
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and quality control
  • Strong verbal communication skills to engage professionally with internal and external customers
