Our Brisbane CBD office is currently seeking a Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable) in a Permanent, Full-time capacity.
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you will be responsible for data entry into Accounts Receivable ledger including month end invoicing, ad hoc invoices, receipting payments as well as reconciling bank accounts and individual debtors. They are also responsible for managing the age of the debt and following up on outstanding payments with organisations and individuals as well as managing the financial process for Home Care Packages (HCP) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
In this role, you’d be responsible for:
- Processing all client payments into GP as well as accepting client payments over the phone
- Importing all client invoicing from CIMS into GP
- Preparing, send and reconcile claim files for NDIS
- Reconciling all cash income bank accounts
- Reconciling and make the appropriate claims for HCP as well as making the adjustments to client packages
- Monitoring customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Ensuring all appropriate source documents are electronically filed
- Responding in a timely manner to any queries
- Displaying a consistent attitude of innovation and continuous improvement
- Building effective working relationships with Key Customers
- Advanced working knowledge of Accounts Receivable
- Intermediate understanding of accounting packages
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong reconciliation and numeracy skills
- Discretion – ability to contain confidential information within the Accounting and Finance Team
- Outstanding organisational skills, including work planning and time management
- The emotional maturity to build strong working relations with key stakeholders
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check (at no cost to you)

Remuneration will be based on the suitable candidate’s skills and experience and be paid in line with the Archdiocesan Pay Scale.
