The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport. We have a Part Time (15 hours) opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team, with a focus on Accounts Receivable.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Desire to learn, develop and innovate in whatever you do.
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Highly computer literate with a proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and an aptitude for picking up new systems and programs.
- An understanding of basic accounting practice and bookkeeping. Previous experience with accounting software required.
- Experience with Opera Cloud PMS advantageous but not essential.
- Accounting or Bookkeeping certification or qualification (not essential, but preferred).
- Previous experience within the same or similar role highly regarded.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Assisting the Financial Controller by increasing flexibility within the Finance Department.
- Managing end to end Accounts Receivable processes with precision and efficiency.
- Processing guest payments and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and guest inquiries.
- Conducting regular audits to uphold financial integrity and compliance.
- Assisting in month-end closing procedures and reporting.
