About the role:
Hollywood, Australia's largest private hospital, seeks a dynamic individual for its Supply team. The position will work in a small team purchasing, supporting and managing demand for various essential equipment and support facilities.
The role will require someone who takes their responsibilities seriously, think commercially and can make decisions and work positively in a pressured environment. A high degree of accuracy and dedication to achieving outcomes is essential.
In this position you will:
- Receive support, assistance and training
- Assist with the purchase of equipment and infrastructure with-in the hospital
- Communicate & coordinate with a range of diverse individuals, engage in supplier negotiations, and tackle problem solving challenges
- Research and report on purchasing options and availability
- Obtain quotes, check details & authorisation and raise purchase orders
- Following up on invoices, facilitating returns, and problem solving as required
- Assist with various functions and projects as required
- Record keeping and report writing as required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- An ability to take responsibility for tasks and work accurately
- A strong business/commercial focus
- The ability to communicate effectively with all levels including management, suppliers and hospital staff
- Be highly organised & able to multitask
- An ability to work in a small team, make decisions and follow through with tasks
- (Some) flexibility of working hours
- Purchasing and/or warehouse experience in a commodity based organisation
- Previous experience utilising purchasing and inventory control systems (e.g. Pronto, SAP or similar) is useful
- Purchasing experience within a medical supply or building fit-out position is ideal for this role although other experienced supply professionals are encouraged to apply
- Sound computer skills and experience using MS Office programs is required.
Remuneration: On offer is a full-time equivalent, base annual salary ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 (pro-rata for part-time) + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
