We currently have a vacancy in Launceston for a full time Logisitics Officer which plays a critical role in the daily operations of the Company.
Remuneration will be based on experience.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
Maintain high levels of communication with customers.
Management of forecast bookings.
Liaising with First Mate on a daily basis confirming freight movements.
Preparation of concise and accurate schedules.
Managing the incoming and outgoing correspondence for freight collection via emails and phone.
Receiving and dispatching freight.
Identify and provide advice on emerging issues and opportunities to continuously improve services and service delivery.
Prepare, type and distribute documentation.
Providing documentation to Tasmanian Ports.
Provide support with the co-ordination, planning and communication of resources to maximise revenue per service.
Requirements:
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
High level administrative with excellent Microsoft Office Skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to the team.
Initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
A can-do attitude, strong work ethic and keen eye for detail.
Ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
