About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated administration officer to provide administrative support to the Post-Graduate Medical Education Unit for Pre-Vocational Doctors. This is an opportunity for a full time or part time position for a fixed term of 12 months, working Monday to Friday. The Administration Assistant will play a key role in providing excellence in customer service and administration to enable delivery of a quality service that meets the needs of our customers and team.
The Post Graduate Medical Education Unit oversees education and training for pre-vocational doctors at Eastern Health, including interns and HMOs, as well as HMOs within Eastern Health's International Medical Graduate Program.
We support Doctors in Training with orientation, career planning and development, and work closely with clinical units and departments to support the training needs of interns and HMOs.
This position supports the activities and administrative duties of the Post Graduate Medical Education Unit (PMEU) and Director of PMEU.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- High level computer literacy (MH Office Suite – proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams) and cloud based platforms
- Results-orientated with demonstrated ability to meet targets and timelines. Including demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, while meeting set timeframes
- Systematic, thorough and attentive to detail when preparing materials, managing sensitive information and processing tasks
- Strong work ethic
- Proactive approach with demonstrated initiative and ability to follow up to work
- Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage challenging issues and enquiries in a calm and considered manner
- Ability to work independently as required
- Previous work experience with a health service or education or training provider
