New Opportunity
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant – Music. This is a newly created position in response to the growth of our College offerings, and the re-introduction of Year 5 in 2025. The position is full-time, working thirty-eight (38) hours per week between the hours of 8.00am to 4.06pm.
This position works directly with the Program Leader – Music.
As the Administrative Assistant – Music, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our Music Support Group, Tutors, Conductors, Accompanists, and Curriculum Leaders, to contribute to activities that have a lasting, real impact on the education and development of our students, staff, and their families. Key responsibilities include:
- Professional first point of contact between the Music Performance Program and College staff, students, parents, community representatives and suppliers
- Organisation of Music Performance Program events, tours, camps, incursions, and excursions including preparation of risk assessments
- Organise the timetabling including room bookings for lessons, rehearsals and concerts
- Maintain tuition and ensemble roll marking, and various databases including tracking of student attendance
- Preparation of communications via the College newsletter, App and social media
- Collation of weekly and fortnightly timesheets and liaising with the Payroll department
- Assistance with co-ordination of Music events onsite at the College
- Procurement and management of merchandise for the Music Support Group shop
About You
- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in a similar role
- High-level computer competency, including advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (particularly Office, Excel and PowerPoint); and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent people, communication, and networking skills with dynamic work habits
- Solutions orientated and the ability to work autonomously and proactively while maintaining a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and diplomacy
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Personal sense of initiative, enthusiasm, and high energy
- Outstanding attention to detail, commitment to customer service and ongoing improvement
