Seeking an Administration Manager with strong experience in Medical and Hospital based environments, to lead our hospital administration Support Services and manage the day-to-day Medical Reception team, supporting quality customer service with a strong focus on patient care.
About the RoleWestside Private Hospital is currently recruiting for an Administration Manager to join and lead our dynamic medical support team. To be the right candidate you will have previous experience working in a hospital setting, providing high quality customer service, positively contributing to patient experiences, and have experience leading, training and mentoring teams.
In this role you will manage the Medical Reception Team, in a fast passed, patient focused busy environment, leading, supporting and providing high quality support to the hospital clinical team, our patients, Doctors and visitors.
In this role you will be responsible for all things Administration, working closely with the Senior Management Team, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met and supporting the Hospital operational efficiency.
The Administration Manager ensures the efficient operation of all bookings, pre-admin, back and front office as well coordinates building maintenance requests, participates in supply-chain processes, register maintenance to support the hospital.

You will also demonstrate:
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience in a short-stay, day surgery or hospital environment
- Experience working with Patient Administration Software (preferably SimDay)
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office package)
- Knowledge of health fund contracting system and the Private Health Care System
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team environment
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and leading others
- Have strong problem solving and conflict management skills
- Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills with passion for the patient experience
This is a privately owned short-stay surgical hospital located at Taringa. Our focus is to provide comprehensive, personalised, and exceptional care to our patients utilising a multidisciplinary team approach from our doctors/surgeons/ proceduralists, nurses, technicians, and administrative support staff.
The Hospital supports a diverse range of specialties including Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, General & Colorectal Surgery, Dermatology, MOHs, Breast and Endocrine Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
Located in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Westside Private Hospital has 4 operating theatres,1 procedure room, 3 treatment rooms, a 12-bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), and 9-chair Stage 3 PACU, and 6-bed surgical ward.
