Barkly Smokehouse is the home of grandmother ham and has successfully operated for over 70 years. We are a customer focused market leader in the production and distribution of award-winning smoked smallgoods. We produce our products locally and distribution is growing nationally.
Key areas of responsibility include (not limited to):
- Ensure that all wholesale customer enquiries, orders and quotes are entered and processed accurately into the portal.
- Accurate and timely data entry.
- Direct customer relation and communication - answering sales and general query calls and directing them to the appropriate person.
- Process customer credits/returns/queries.
- Generating invoices and statements.
- Streamline and manage business processes and systems that support the culture and efficient operations of the business.
- Purchasing general office supplies, groceries, stationery, etc and allocating to appropriate departments.
- Office filing and archiving.
- Undertake general office administration including: organising catering for inhouse events/meetings & arranging maintenance to attend to any issues.
- Co ordinating transportation via portals for wholesale customers.
- Liaising with, and supporting other departments.
- Providing backup support in all things office management.
- Assisting with other administrative/accounts tasks as and when they arise.
