30.5 hours per week, working Mon- Fri

Your Opportunity
The Aherlkeme Development Centre in Alice Springs is a 28-house facility that supports Territorians who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and who have difficulty in accessing and maintaining and securing a tenancy. This busy role manages and completes a range of administrative tasks and is a varied position that will support and fulfil a variety of tasks essential to the effective running of the service in Alice Springs.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Be the first point of contact for participants and visitors both face-to-face and over the phone
Respond to participant queries engaging the support of other service staff as required
Manage front office reception area
Attend and participate in monthly meetings
Manage stationery stock and maintain stock for kitchen facilities in main office
Process financial transactions including invoices, petty cash, purchase orders and accounts payable
Administer emergency relief assistance and maintain register of participants
Requirements for Success
Associate Diploma with relevant experience or other appropriate qualification/experience with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Current Northern Territory Drivers Licence
Strong Microsoft Office Suite and database systems, and keyboard experience
Excellent communication skills.
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good relationship-building and team work skills
Significant customer service experience and skills
Sound understanding of the needs of people on low income and experience working with vulnerable people at risk of homelessness
