About the role

The Aged & Community Support Branch supports 3,000 Merri-Bek residents with a range of services delivered in the home and community.

The Data Support Officer is critical to overall Aged and Community Support administration providing expert advice regarding the client management application (Carelink+), producing data reports and making sure all data submissions to relevant funding bodies are accurate and on time. The Data Support Officer is the responsible officer for CareLink+ system administration ensuring that it meets the needs of the Branch.

If you love to problem solve, can pay attention to detail, prioritise and do several tasks at the same time then this is the role for you. To be successful you will have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with different team members in different roles. 

Skills and experience require to perform the role

  • Competency in the use of a range of computer applications such as Word, Excel, Crystal, PowerPoint, Publisher, Content Manager, Carelink+ Plus and other Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Experience and understanding of Information Technology including networked systems and software based on .NET, Access using SQL.
  • Experience as a systems administrator for a client management system
  • Capacity to use corporate and financial programs such as Content Manager and iChris.
  • Broad understanding of the organisational goals and goals of the Aged and Community Support Branch.
  • Competency in quickly acquiring a broad understanding of the activities and functions of the branch.
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
