The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (‘RACP’) connects, represents, and trains physicians and trainee physicians across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The RACP provides services to support the delivery of training, continuing professional development, and health policy and advocacy to medical health professionals.

Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working model: 
- 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
- 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
- 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.  


The Role

This role sits within the Peak Bodies team, which provides secretariat support for several governing bodies within the RACP, including the RACP College Council, Adult Medicine Division (AMD), Paediatrics and Child Health Division (PCHD), Faculties, and Fellowship Relations. The Administration Officer, Peak Bodies will provide administrative support to the Peak Bodies team, which supports the Divisions, Faculties and Chapters, and other peak College bodies.

Supporting the across the teams within Peak Bodies, this position will be responsible for:

  • Administrative support including but not limited to:
    • responding to email, mail, and telephone general enquiries
    • organising and supporting meetings (teleconference, video conference, and face to face)
    • organising travel and accommodation
    • production of meeting agendas and papers
    • drafting minutes, as required.
  • Correspondence, including drafting of routine correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ensuring forms, procedure manuals, and other documents are kept up to date.
  • Assisting with Model of Collaboration agreements and the specialty society webinar program.
  • Assisting with the coordination of projects under the direction of the Manager, Peak Bodies.

The Successful Candidate
 

To be successful in the role, the incumbent will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office, Outlook, internet browsers and the use of databases.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • High-level administrative, time-management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines in a high workload area.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and helpful manner.
  • Ability to work within both unsupervised and team environments.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.

An understanding of the health and/or education sector would advantageous.
