About your new role
We are looking for the next Advertising Devices Assessment Officer to deliver high-quality assessment and guidance services to support business advertising requirements while ensuring compliance with local laws and safety standards. The role involves fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders to enhance signage effectiveness and uphold the City's amenity and safety standards.

What you bring to your new role
You are an individual who is passionate about health and safety, demonstrating a commitment to promoting a positive work environment and adhering to safe practices. You are someone with strong interpersonal skills, consistently exhibiting professionalism and respect while fostering a culture of excellence and addressing issues constructively. Additionally, a deep sense of responsibility towards the community and a proactive approach to delivering quality outcomes within set timelines are essential.
Additionally, to succeed in this role you will also have:
- Demonstrated investigative, and evidence gathering skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Able to source relevant information relating to Council local laws, State Government legislation, City Plan, relevant Australian Standards, policies and guidelines
- Knowledge of Council’s licensing and CRM modules of Pathway (LGP) would be advantageous
