About the role:

Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent, you'll add value by enabling Health & Safety.

Create foresight about the changing shape of risk and facilitating action before people are harmed.

Support line management to implement and improve safety processes and practices that meet organisational safety objectives.

Further duties include:

• Provide thought and evidence-based advice to Operations, Superintendents, Supervisors, and the workforce.
• Identify opportunities and make recommendations to enable operations to work safely and effectively.
• Facilitate and lead significant incident investigations.
• Provide data driven safety performance reports and insights.
• Facilitate the development and delivery of safety training.
• Engage and coach in physical and psychosocial risk reduction.

Skills and Experience:

• High level communication / interpersonal / facilitation skills
• Knowledge and understanding of fatality risk management and prevention and critical control framework.
• ICAM lead investigator preferred, with demonstrated experience.
• High level knowledge, understanding and experience with risk assessments and controls.
• Experience working with and understanding of autonomous haulage systems.
• Collation, tracking and reporting of relevant HSE data and statistics.
• Tertiary qualifications in H&S or Risk Management; or Health or Social Science, Engineering, Law or HR and willing to undertake tertiary study in the H&S field.
