About the position
As the After School Study Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administration and operation of the After School Study Support program. You will be responsible for recording student attendance; generating and publishing rosters for staff; ensuring Study Support members are proactively supporting their students throughout the session and ensuring staff timesheets are completed weekly. You will also monitor and support students throughout their sessions, run small group activities focused on tasks identified by the needs of the students in attendance and take responsibility for reporting any emergencies should they arise.
This role is ideally suited to a retired teacher still seeking the rewards of working with students to achieve their best or preservice teachers seeking experience in working with students from an academically focused school that delivers both the HSC and IB curriculums. This position will involve working After School hours and current teacher accreditation is not required.
Selection Criteria:
- A degree in a relevant field of study (or working towards this).
- Experience working within a school environment as a teacher, or preservice teacher an advantage.
- Expertise in English, Mathematics or Science is highly desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Current First Aid Qualifications
- A current NSW Working with Children’s Check
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
