About theRole:

If so, we invite you to join ourteam as the Team Leader for our Social Work Incident SupportService (SWISS) team.
As the Team Leader, you will leadand manage a dynamic team of Social Workers, ensuring the deliveryof high-quality services that prioritise the safety and wellbeingof children and young people. Your role will involve developing andimplementing state-wide Social Work services, providing operationaladvice, and supervising a team dedicated to crisis response andintervention.
Key responsibilities willinclude:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate state-wide critical Incident Support Services, monitoring trends and community needs to determine service priorities and programs.
- Lead a team of social workers in providing timely, effective, and coordinated responses to critical incidents and crisis events, applying evidence-informed interventions.
- Manage team performance through effective workload management, recruitment, retention, and professional development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to guide service provision, contribute to policy development, and improve trauma management approaches.
- Lead high-level reviews and projects to enhance client feedback mechanisms and inform systemic improvements in service delivery.
- Analyse and report on local and state-wide data, providing timely briefings and advice to inform strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to discipline-specific research, service development, and innovative practices to advance techniques and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications:
- Essential an appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
SpecialConditions:
The successful applicant isrequired to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working withchildren check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required tobe renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will berequired to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm,Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass)extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will berequired to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
AHP4: $112,625 - $122,610 perannum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
