Our ‘One team, One purpose' philosophy underpins our unique culture and the way we work together at the Future Fund Management Agency ("Agency"). This philosophy extends into all aspects of our organisation and guides how and why we do what we do.
The Opportunity
We are hiring an Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk ("ER") team in Melbourne. - Supporting IBO to identify and document operational risks and provide recommendations for process improvement (efficiency gains and risk reduction).
- Apply Agency likelihood and consequence matrices to assess the inherent risk of IBO's business activities
- Provide advice and constructive challenge to the business on designing controls to mitigate business unit risks and evaluating residual risk after the application of controls.
- Maintaining the IBO Risk Register and supporting risk management registers and dashboards.
Control Testing:
- Testing the design and operating effectiveness of IBO controls, in accordance with the Agency's Control Assurance Framework.
Incident Management:
- Coordinate investigations into the root causes of incidents arising within IBO or relevant outsourced service providers, review and advise on proposed rectification and prevention strategies.
- Log incidents appropriately within the Agency's risk management system and monitor incident actions to closure.
- Provide reporting to Agency stakeholders on the nature and status of incidents.
Internal Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate communication between IBO and the Agency's internal auditor for IBO internal audit scopes.
- Support IBO in preparing for internal audit requests and review draft internal reports for factual accuracy.
- Ensure actions arising from internal audits are appropriately recorded and support the monitoring and completion of management actions and responses.
Training and Awareness:
- Fostering a positive risk management culture, including preparing and presenting internal communications.
Establishing and Maintaining Relationships:
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with other ER functions and making positive contributions to relevant Agency risk-related forums.
About You
Qualifications:
- A tertiary degree in an industry relevant discipline.
Knowledge and Experience:
- An understanding of risk profiling and control testing in the investment management or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of investment operations, processes, or experience working in investment operation teams will be highly regarded.
- Experience applying operational excellence, process optimisation or process mapping and analysis are not essential but will be well regarded.
