Elevate is a leading global law company and we are hiring for APAC Engagement Manager (Australia) in our Flex team.
We partner with and support law departments and law firms globally, offering practical ways to improve efficiency, quality, and business outcomes.
As an integral part of our suite of services, and operating in the UK, US, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore, our Flexible Legal Resourcing ("Flex") business provides:
- Contract placement of all levels of seniority of legal professionals, from senior Lawyers (GC/AGC) and law firm Partners to specialist and generalist Lawyers, Legal Project Managers, Legal Operations professionals, Paralegals and Document Reviewers
- Interim, project based and permanent bespoke hiring solutions
- Payroll bridging and retained hours work
- Recruitment and resourcing strategy, and succession planning
- Alumni programme support for law firms
- Support to internal HR in their recruiting activities
Specifically, you will:
•Report into the Associate Director, APAC Elevate Flexible Legal Resourcing.
•Be responsible for the day-to-day successful delivery of the APAC Elevate function, including account management and growth, Talent management and deployment, optimising revenue, profit and developing new business opportunities whilst providing market leading Customer and Talent experience.
•Effectively collaborate with colleagues across Elevate (Flex, Sales, Inside Sales, Marketing and Account Management Team) to actively pursue specific target Customers and/or roles, mapping exercises etc.
•Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team to deploy new joiners while balancing the redeployment of the existing team to increase recruitment levels and maximize utilization.
•Effectively develop and continuously build relationships with all major stakeholders.
•Collaborate, support, host and attend industry conferences and related events, working closely with Marketing and Flex colleagues to develop all associated marketing and publicity.
•Maintain ongoing direct contact with Customers to understand their resourcing requirements, budgets, challenges and discuss how Elevate can provide them with optimal resourcing solutions.
•Conduct regular feedback sessions with relevant contacts, ensuring appropriate action is taken as and when required.
•Negotiate rates and terms with all Customers to ensure margin requirements are met and forge long standing relationships, often proposing and agreeing creative and bespoke solutions.
•Maintain ongoing relationships with Talent on engagement and Customers through regular contact and Customer Insights program.
•Ensure all new Customers and new engagements follow due process and all necessary paperwork has been completed before we engage in work e.g. engagement forms and new customer/matter process has been followed.
•Undertake ongoing analysis and reporting on financial performance of the resourcing and deployment function, forecasting revenue.
•Maintain Applicant Tracking and CRM systems with accurate information, including vacancy and placement lists and other ongoing activity.
•Internal meeting attendance and regular reporting on the function e.g. Global Enterprise Customer Meetings, Global Team Watercoolers, and reporting such as pipeline activity and forecasting.
•Work alongside Elevate’s Legal Team and Sales when negotiating contracts with new Customers.
•Work closely with the Sales function to ensure the potential new customer/engagement pipeline interfaces with resource and deployment function and to identify opportunities. Proactively support in helping to convert their activities into vacancies and placements.
Experience/Skills/Education:
•You will have experience of building a Talent and Customer network through market leading recruitment and resourcing expertise, ideally through an agency or other entrepreneurial recruitment business
•You will have proven experience in a senior recruitment/resourcing role in the legal industry gained in either an Alternative Legal Services Provider, a Recruitment Agency, or in-house recruitment.
•You will have an existing network of Customers and/or Talent with whom you work regularly.
•You will come with a proven track record of working successfully within a target driven environment (individual and team targets).
•Experience of working on an Applicant Tracking System (Bullhorn preferred but not required) recruitment or CRM database.
•We need an individual with excellent IT skills, (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and excellent attention to detail. Skills for Success:
