We are seeking an Apprentice Chef to join our Commercial Kitchen and receive training and development from our talented team. Our kitchen produces a range of salads, quiches, ready-to-eat meals and meats, and marinated meats. You will also have exposure to our small goods manufacturing and butchery operations on site.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Willingness and enthusiasm to complete an apprenticeship by undertaking a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- A love of working with food and people will help you enjoy your role
- Being able to follow procedures and regulations (particularly regarding cleanliness, food handling and workplace health and safety) is essential
- A sense of urgency, good energy and initiative will help you get tasks done and support your success
- A positive and learning mind-set, friendly attitude and great communication skills
- A high level of competence in written and spoken English
- You'll have, and further develop, extremely good attention to detail, being able to focus on the finer details, such as quality control and presentation of all products being sold to customers
- Ability to comprehend and follow company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and Workplace Health and Safety
- Full-time availability and Permanent residency/Australian Citizenship
