About the Role:
Join our Ecosystem Reform and Governance Branch as an APS6 Level Board Governance Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the agency's involvement in disability ecosystem reforms. Reporting to the Director and Assistant Director, you will be responsible for undertaking secretariat and administrative tasks, contributing to the success of intergovernmental agreements and programs that interact with the Agency.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Providing logistical and secretariat support for meetings, including venue bookings, travel coordination, catering, and procurement.
Assisting in the coordination of papers by engaging with stakeholders, ensuring quality assurance, and timely upload of documents to approved administration systems.
Undertaking research and analysis to inform decisions on complex issues and liaising with other sections on policy, projects, or operational matters.
Developing and maintaining complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing relationships to achieve work area and agency goals.
Monitoring emerging themes and issues across intergovernmental forums and states/territories.
Managing the actions register for all intergovernmental forums, including tasking and following up actions where required.
Maintaining accurate corporate records, including minutes, workplans, committee charters, registers of interest, decision registers, and action registers.
Handling a shared mailbox, escalating complex enquiries or matters to higher authorities.
Participating in process improvement activities, including assisting with the development and maintenance of governance policies, procedures, and guidance documents.

About You:
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Administrative Expertise: Proven experience in providing meticulous secretariat support for meetings, including logistic coordination, travel arrangements, and procurement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning efforts with organizational goals.
Research and Analysis: Strong research and analytical skills to inform decisions on complex issues, contribute to long-term planning, and stay informed about emerging themes in intergovernmental forums.
Project Coordination: Experience in coordinating papers, ensuring quality assurance, and managing the timely upload of documents to approved administration systems.
Task and Action Management: Proficiency in developing, maintaining, and monitoring actions registers for intergovernmental forums, including following up on critical actions.
Financial Record Keeping: Experience in maintaining accurate records of financial expenditure.
Process Improvement: Proven ability to participate in process improvement activities, contributing to the development and maintenance of governance policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating collaboration and engagement within a geographically dispersed team.
Be able to pass a National Police Check
