Positions are now open in the Internal Governance Section within the Portfolio Management Branch of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).  The section has a high profile within DVA, collaborates closely with DVA’s Executive Leadership Team and across business areas.

The work of the section is fast paced and requires individuals with strong administrative, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills; who operate comfortably in dynamic and quickly changing environments; contribute to team capability and culture; have strong attention to detail; and can manage multiple activities and competing priorities.

Duties

• Provide Secretariat, event and technical services for the professional organisation and delivery of one or more governance committees or consultative forums
• Develop and maintain key strategic relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• Develop, update and maintain secretariat guidelines and procedures
• Prepare written correspondence, reports, briefings, and other material as required
• Undertake proactive continuous improvement and learning and development
• Communicate, educate and provide advice to staff regarding DVA’s governance
• Provide assistance to other secretariat teams as required
• Other duties as required
