Seeking candidates with APS Procurement experience. Baseline clearance mandatory
Our client is seeking to fill an APS 5 Procurement Support Officer position for 6 months.
The ideal candidate will also be required to work collaboratively across the Department with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. This role is also responsible for supporting the Business Support Section with administrative support, including the management of multiple team mailboxes, records and correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to procurement and workforce activities and ensure that these activities are conducted in line with policy, governance, probity and legislated requirements
- Prepare correspondence and corporate documentation, reports, submissions and briefs
- Complete administrative functions to support the work of the team, whilst ensuring compliance with policy and processes (including arranging meetings, monitoring group mailboxes, records management and processing of invoices)
- Assist in the review and improvement of business processes, contributing to the development of guides and instructions
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels and external stakeholders
- Be proactive with the ability to manage multiple demands and adapt to changing priorities
- Apply legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements
- Respond flexibly to change and maintain a constructive approach to problem solving
- Ability to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and targets of the team
- Be highly motivated and organised, with the ability to achieve results
- Sound understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting and/or equivalent experience in a similar role
