APS5 Systems Support Officer

The APS5 Systems Support Officer is responsible for the support and administration of core organisational systems and databases.

This position plays a critical role in the coordination and operation of the systems used by the agency, particularly through providing system user support and developing, maintaining and delivering training programs.

Duties:

• Providing system user support for staff members across the organization.
• Developing, maintaining, and delivering training programs for the systems, along with documentation and manuals.
• Teach staff with skills in both general system use and specific business processes.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to enhance system functionality and improve business processes.
• Assisting with data cleaning, data migration, and the publication of records onto the online catalogue.
• Identifying potential system improvements and workflows based on collection management and data asset management practices.

Who we are looking for:

• High-level experience in the use, user support, and general administration of databases and reporting technologies
• Ability to provide staff training related to collection information systems and to problem-solve related staff queries.
• Ability to manage competing and changing priorities within a team environment and complete a variety of tasks within agreed deadlines.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills appropriate for effectively communicating technical issues to non-technical staff and the ability to develop and deliver training programs to staff.
• Problem-solving and high-level analytical skills as they relate to problems experienced by business systems users.

• This is a permanent role based in Mitchell, free parking will be available.
• Part time arrangements may be considered.
