The Australian Medical Council (AMC) is seeking a proven, motivatedICT System Support Officerto join our high-performing ICT team. This rewarding, 12 month fixed-term contract opportunity is basedon-site, located in Canberra city.

The ICT Services business area is responsible for implementing, managing and supporting ICT solutions that support the AMC and its associated business areas in meeting its vision, mission and strategic objectives, as well as ensuring the business continuity of its day-to-day operations.

About the opportunity
In a nutshell, you will be broadly responsible for:
- providing administrative and technical support for desktops, laptops, software, phones, and peripheral equipment.
- resolving reported hardware and/or software problems.
- upgrading existing hardware and software.
- maintaining website content.
- performing a variety of technical tasks.

About you
You are a dedicated IT professional, with a minimum of two years ICT experience, focused on the delivery of System Support services. You also possess the below experience/knowledge:
- at least a bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science or related IT field.
- ability to work collaboratively within a team, including through effective communication and by providing guidance to achieve business goals.
- expert level Microsoft Windows and Office skills.
- a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, openness and ethical behaviour,instilling confidence in others and representing the organisation in a professional manner.
- remain up to date on current trends and best practices in IT.
- commitment to quality improvement in work practices.
Additional requirements
While all attempts to ensure flexible working arrangements will be made, you are required to be available to attend the Canberra office five days a week, as per business requirements.
Salary and benefits
A salary of $81,000 - $88,000 per annum, including 11% super (plus leave loading) is available, negotiable depending on skills and experience.
