The opportunity Our client is a large federal government agency. They have multiple opportunities available for APS5 and APS6 level Project Officers to join on a long term contracting basis within a newly-formed Hypercare team following the release of a new core enterprise system.
12 month contract plus 12 month extensions
Richmond or Geelong based, with 3 days in the office per week
Hourly rate of $55.24 to $60.26 plus super depending on level
The role As a Project Officer, you will support the hypercare process while engaging with stakeholders across the business, and deliver a range of tasks including ticket inquiries and allocation, problem management, and working with multidisciplinary teams and technical specialists throughout the hypercare process and manage solutions and subject matter experts to achieve outcomes. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to:
Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework
Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders
Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities
Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports
Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation
Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management
Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits
Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs
About you The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience in project support in Agile/digital environments ,and experience in delivery and support of enterprise software post go-live
Proven Ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate outcomes, drive decision making, and manage conflicting or challenging situations
Ability to prioritise, plan, allocate and action work
Experience in Tracking and delivering reports
Experience in the use of Jira and Confluence would be highly regarded
Previous experience with and understanding of SAP and Salesforce CRM platforms would be ideal
Previous federal government experience nice-to-have
