Our client is a well-established, global beauty distribution business. They’ve partnered with some of the world’s finest luxury brands and have a strong international presence across multiple countries.
Having forged relationships with a sizeable number of luxury brands across the APAC regions, this company is on a strong growth trajectory and are now looking for their next Area Sales Manager to take control of the Queensland region.
Role Description & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving and growing the Retail Sales Teams within the state of Queensland.
Key responsibilities:
Support the development of retail sales teams through periodic visits across Metro and Regional Queensland.
Ensure engagement and productivity of the retail sales teams.
Measure, monitor, grow and plan new sales across the retail sales teams.
Train and motivate retail sales teams with product training to cultivate high-performing teams.
Hiring, onboarding and training of new sales team members.
Build and maintain relationships across key retailers (department stores & specialist stores).
Interpret and analyse sales information to maximise profit and support key business outcomes.
Maintain the highest retail standards by ensuring stores are presented in a clean, attractive, and logical layout.
Closely monitor competitor activities and stay current across related market and industry trends.
Creation and implementation of in-store promotions to encourage customer activity.
To be successful
You’ll have an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to manage your workload between autonomous duties and collaborative tasks, and someone who ultimately, is passionate about driving sales results through leadership and team management.
Additional requirements:
3 years’ experience in Area Sales/Key Account Sales/Retail Sales within the Beauty/Cosmetics or closely related industry.
Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Experience managing teams and monitoring performance.
Strong ability to negotiate and influence.
Willingness to travel regularly to designated stores across Metro and Regional pockets of Queensland.
