The role
The Team Leader, Quality Assessment is responsible for leading a team of Regulatory Officers, who assess applications, rate early childhood service quality under the National Quality Framework and provide consistent education and guidance to regulated parties to achieve and maintain compliance with legislative obligations. The Team Leader, Quality Assessment ensures consistency in regulatory operations through effective leadership and oversight.

The Education Standards Board (ESB) is the independent statutory authority that regulates early childhood services and registers schools to improve education and care outcomes for children and young people in South Australia.
Our main functions are:
- approving early childhood services
- assessing and rating early childhood services
- educating and monitoring compliance with the law
- taking regulatory action in the event of non-compliance
- registering schools
- reviewing the registration of schools

Special conditions
- The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Department of Human Services Working with Children Check prior to being employed and regularly as required.
- Intrastate travel will be required.
- Out-of-hours work will be required when undertaking assessment and ratings of services.
- Flexible working arrangements are available for this position.
- Annual performance agreement for the achievement of specific service or program outcomes.
- A current South Australian Driver’s License is required.
- Compliance with Government legislation, Code of Ethics for the SA Public Sector, State Records Act 1997, ESB policies and procedures, including ethical / accountable resources and information management, WHS and injury management, risk management, and the access / equity /diversity strategies of the public sector.
