Your role as the Asset Manager holds a key role in the Assets and Generation team by managing utility-scale renewable (solar and wind) and firming assets (battery energy storage systems) in line with our strategic priorities. Lead the change, from the frontline As a valued member of our Assets and Generation Team, the role will focus predominantly on the operation of large-scale renewable and firming sites under management. Based in Brisbane or Melbourne, you will oversee the key aspects of the projects including risk, HSSE, technical and commercial outcomes. You will also be involved in other portions of the project life cycle such as development and construction execution. With honesty, integrity and respect, you will: Promote a culture of compliance focused on health, safety, and the environment; Administer all technical and commercial risks associated with renewable assets under management; Assess the technical and commercial performance of the assets against budgeted targets; Develop mitigation strategies for technical and commercial underperformance and proactively seek out improvements to assets that maximise value for investors; Supervise EPC Defect punch lists and warranty; Oversee of all aspects of contract and project agreement obligations (EPC contracts, O&M contracts, development approval etc); Develop Asset Management processes and procedures to facilitate growth; Provide written and oral communication both internally to the team, and externally to stakeholders such as the board of directors; Ensure ongoing compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the operation of renewable generators and firming assets in the relevant jurisdiction. What you’ll bring Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role: Experience working on utility-scale renewable energy projects or other power generation assets, with a preference for candidates with experience in the national electricity market. Knowledge of broad health, safety and environmental practices, as well as regulatory and legislative requirements. Relevant technical and/or commercial qualifications. Contract and project management skills as well as highly organised and confident in managing large and complex contracts. Data driven with the ability to analyse and comprehend large volumes of data and distil into actions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with the team, as well as other internal stakeholders. Manage ongoing relationships with external stakeholders, sometimes in challenging circumstances. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively, and tailor your communication strategy to a range of different stakeholders is essential to the role. An understanding of core legal concepts relating to contracts for the construction, operation and management of renewable energy projects. An ability to understand and quantify risk and develop feasible mitigation strategies.
