Asset Planning Manager - Sydney

The main responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain an asset management program that optimises our investment. The role will be responsible for growing utilisation on current asset holdings and increase the efficiency of the placement of these assets and the impact this has on the profitability of the business.
This involves the building of relationships with all key stakeholders across the business to deliver a higher rate of return on all assets. To assist in the delivery of this, the role will also be responsible for the maintenance of these assets and the cost associated with this.
What will you be doing?
Asset Managing
- Partner with the Demand Manager, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure new kit forecasts are as accurate as possible to ensure supply.
- Have an oversight of the end-to-end Kit request process from budget development/approval/allocation through to dispatch of kit to hospital, ensuring service KPIs are met.
- Tracking, reporting and improving ROI, utilization rates and inventory turns on consignment inventory and recommend improvements
- Conduct regular audits and reviews including asset utilisation data and minimise un-deployed stock.
- Train appropriate personnel on Smith & Nephew procedures.
- Lead and participate at all scheduled meetings (Regional/National Team).
- Recruit, develop and lead your team ensure full utilisation of people and engagement.
- Internally, this position must develop relationships with marketing and sales in each product division, and with key operations staff such as Master Data, Schedulers, Kit Build and Ops Leads i Ensure our assets are compliant to all Quality standards.
- Bachelor Degree or similar in Engineering or related field, valid driver’s license.
- People management, strong analytical skills, logistics and asset management, SAP background in operations and medical devices
- Strong understanding Lean or 6S methodology will be highly regarded.
