About the role:
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Asset Program Engineer to join our successful team. This position is responsible for developing and managing asset renewal and maintenance programs for all infrastructure and building assets and monitoring Councils approved works programs and budgetary performance.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering/Asset Management and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in asset renewal program preparation and management.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the development and maintenance of Asset Management Plans, Asset Management Strategy and Asset Management Policy.
- Demonstrated experience in preparation of asset renewal programs for roads, public spaces, Building and Stormwater assets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks within strict deadlines and budget.
- Experience in preparing technical specifications and cost.
- Experience in supervising consultants and contractors.
- Ability to communicate with others across departments verbally and in writing to meet requirements of the role.
- Ability to analyse problems by gathering information and develop a solution (in line with role responsibilities).
- Sound computer skills in relation to data collection, manipulation and data presentation using packages such as Excel, Access, Word, Microsoft Project, Assets and Pavement Management.
- Current Class C drivers licence.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing excellent customer service and a highly developed understanding of customer service principles.
