The Exciting Opportunity
We have a 12 month Fixed term opportunity for an Assistant Accountantto join our team at our Coopers Plains depot.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the main focus of the role is ensuring the success of our commercial team in delivering all required tasks associated with the financial reporting, financial compliance, payroll and administration of the KSF business in Queensland.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring weekly and monthly financial reports are provided on time to Head Office
- Assisting with the weekly payroll run for KSF QLD
- Assisting with the analysis of weekly and monthly reports.
- Preparing and processing various journals for weekly/monthly reporting.
- Preparing various reconciliations for the Commercial Manager as required, including major supplier invoice reconciliations and rail surcharge and rail rate reconciliations.
- Assisting in the production of major client trading reports.
- Preparing and ensuring relevant rate information is passed onto branches, customers and updated in the Company’s system.
- Completing any other financial tasks as requested by the Commercial Manager ie. Invoicing, accruals, payment approvals
Your Skills and Knowledge
- Graduate qualifications in Business Accounting
- Thorough understanding of financial analysis, costing and expenditures in relation to budgets and proposals.
- Experience in preparing and analysing business related costing spreadsheets and related information.
- Professional written and verbal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholder
- Ability to support team members within the administration and operations team
