Assistant Accountant – Banking

We celebrate our global presence, by supporting our culturally diverse team around the world.Lovisa Opportunity:This role will provide support to the Financial Accountant - Banking and wider finance team by helping to prepare store banking reconciliations, Retail Operations reporting and month-end journals. This role will own the several regions within APAC. The global banking team consists of 10 Assistant Accountants so there will also be opportunity to learn global practices and cross currency exposure. This is an entry level position with a wide variety of rotation opportunities and career growth.The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of:

• Daily Banking Functions & reporting
• Daily Banking reconciliations for stores
• Daily Missed banking reporting
• Weekly Cash variance reporting
• Variance investigations and leasing with Loss Prevention team
• Weekly Petty Cash expenditure reporting
• Weekly upload of bank statement into Oracle
• Weekly AP payment reconciliations in Oracle
• Monthly Gift voucher liability reconciliations and reporting
• Month-end functions & reporting
• Monthly Sales reconciliations (Futura vs. Oracle journals)
• Monthly Bank account reconciliations
• Monthly till difference journals
• Monthly cash-in-transit reconciliations and accounting
• Monthly Cash Clearing account reconciliations
• Monthly Centre Voucher liability reconciliations
• Monthly Turnover reporting
• Annual Sales audit certificate preparations and reconciliations
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree with Accounting or Finance major
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Oracle Fusion experience (not mandatory)
• Experience with Microsoft office products
• An understanding of core accounting principles, P&L, Balance sheets
• An ability to demonstrate Leadership experience
• Global experience, cross currency exposure
