VMC now employs 70 people and is experiencing significant year on year growth. In this role, you’ll be joining an experienced Finance Manager and will have a direct impact on the future success and growth of the business as it expands within the industry.
Performing a broad range of tasking, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:
- Accounts Receivable tasking, including invoicing, debt management, verifying and issuing credit notes, processing credit applications and onboarding new customers
- Accounts Payable tasking, including processing all stock receipts to invoice, verifying OPEX and CAPEX spend, processing payments and completing credit applications
- Processing weekly payroll
- Completing month end and year end processes, and bank reconciliations
- Ad-hoc projects as required
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting
- At least two years’ experience in a similar accountant role, preferably in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- Previous experience in running end to end payroll.
- Experience working in smaller teams.
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's etc.)
- Strong communication skills.
- Well rounded experience in performing daily and monthly processes across AP/AR and reconciliations.
- An ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline driven environment.
- Approachable, energetic and flexible in approach.
