About the Role
Carbon Link is seeking a reliable, efficient, and professional Assistant Accountant. This position will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes. As a team player this position will demonstrate initiative and an ability to work autonomously to deliver timely, quality outcomes that are aligned to team and organisational priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting:
- Assist with End of month processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
- Assist with Asset capitalisation, depreciation schedules
- Preparation of monthly BAS statements and other statutory compliance obligations as required.
- Manage transactional banking activities, including cash management and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing issuing, payment monitoring.
- Assist with accounts payable and payroll tasks
- Ad-hoc assistance to Finance Manager and Senior Leadership team
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Policies, Procedures, and Safety:
- Ensure work adheres to recognised codes and standards.
- Follow Health and Safety and Environmental policies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment in line with the company's values.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Accounting qualification (or studying towards)
- Knowledge of accounting standards and associated practices
- Experience in MS Office, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Use of confidentiality and discretion in information and data
- Self-motivated in the completion of tasks
- Able to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skills
- Capable of accurate, detailed work
- Desire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goals
