Position: Casual Assistant in Nursing (AIN)

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our VPS team in a pivotal patient and clinical support role.

THE HEART OF THE ROLE:

Valley Plastic Surgery is looking for a motivated and experienced AIN who will emulate our commitment to providing exceptional service. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high level of personalised patient care. You will work closely with a team of experienced Specialist Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologist and nurses at our Fortitude Valley practice. 

Key aspects of the role include:

• Assisting with the provision of high-quality nursing care under the guidance of our experienced registered nursing team.
• Supporting patients through their surgical journey, offering assistance and education.
• Medical photography
• Help in maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Participate in the preparation of surgical and treatment rooms.
• Assisting specialist with minor procedures in rooms 

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient-centred care.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a surgical or outpatient setting, will be highly regarded.

This is a casual position for a minimum of two days a week exclusive of leave cover. Hours are rostered between 8am and 7pm weekdays.
