Working within the Bond University Finance Systems Team, this position will provide direct support to both the Manager - Finance Systems and Process Improvement and the Systems Accountant, and will assist in a wide range of functions performed by the Systems Team.
Duties of this varied role will include:
- Supporting financial systems and processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
- Processing of the month-end activities including systems rolls and associated processes
- Assisting the Systems Accountant to ensure continuous effective operation of the Finance One system including maintenance and security structures and processes
- Assisting with the implementation and daily administration of finance systems
- Preparing and delivering training to support system users
The Assistant Systems Accountant will provide assistance to other members of the Financial Services team as required.
About the PersonThe successful candidate will have:
- A degree qualification in a related field along with up to two years relevant work experience; or demonstrated relevant work experience
- Experience in financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Well developed interpersonal skills and a focus on providing superior customer service and training of others
- Demonstrated experience using a range of software including relevant Finance software and Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to use initiative set priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to cooperate and liaise effectively with varied internal clients and to work effectively as a member of a team with minimal supervision
The salary for the position commences at $76,940.14 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
