Job description

We are searching for an experienced Head of Sales to lead our Australian based sales team and drive the growth of our software product portfolio within Australia and New Zealand. This role is part of the management team and will have the opportunity to influence and lead the future strategic direction of the Sales function at Tes.  This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

What you will own in the role of Head of Sales 

Team leadership  

  • You will lead and coach an ambitious team of four across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, with a focus on high-volume outbound calling and value-based selling.  

  • Shape your team culture – Embed sales strategies and processes, set team standards and practices that enable your team, review sales pipelines, challenge assumptions, and develop skills to demonstrate value-based selling to enhance their effectiveness to succeed. 

  • Coach and inspire your team to achieve monthly and annual software product sales targets, create new business opportunities, and retain the existing Tes’ products and engagement.  Build your teams product knowledge and effectiveness to demonstrate our software solutions, build relationships with stakeholders, and have high quality discovery conversations.

Revenue and Strategy 

  • You will initially be responsible for a small portfolio of software products, one that is set to grow as we continue to expand our offerings and footprint in the ANZ market.  

  • You will shape and influence the sales strategy. 

  • You will lead the go-to-market sales execution for new products.

Group Sales 

  • One focus of the role is to develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets with new groups. 

  • You will naturally maintain an accurate pipeline and sales process using our CRM (Salesforce) to provide weekly sales forecasts to the MD.  

  • You will have the know-how to identify and pursue Tender opportunities to completion.

  • Strong experience within sales management and driving growth in a SaaS sales environment. 

  • Strategic thinker with the capability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

  • You have practised exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to demonstrate a range of software solutions to various stakeholders and high value accounts 

  • You have strong negotiation and influencing skills. 

  • We never stand still. You are agile, with a mentality of ‘how can we’ rather than ‘why can’t we’. It isn’t about breaking rules, but about being tenacious and innovative.

A Working with Children Check may be required for this role
