Bar Manager

The Bar Manager serves as the primary support for the Venue Manager, offering assistance in various operational aspects to ensure smooth functioning of the venue. This includes providing input on strategic decisions, assisting in staff management, overseeing daily operations in the absence of the Venue Manager, and facilitating effective communication between management and staff. Moreover, the Bar Manager is responsible for the beverage offering of the venue, including effective ordering and stock control, beverage menu curation and collaborating with suppliers. 

Duties Include:

• Daily FOH service where business requires i.e. bar, floor or functions
• Greeting guests and delivering superior guest services and customer satisfaction
• Management of casual staff within the guidelines of the award and business requirements
• Provide further training and development to staff
• Presentation and ambience of the venue and escalate any repair requirements to relevant departments
• Complete financial reconciliation accurately
• Comply with venue opening and closing procedure
• Ensure bar organisation and set up for effective service
• Effective beverage menu curation to standards outlined by Operations Managers
• Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Effective stock control and rotation
• Use IMPOS to input beverage invoices
• Proficient in ordering all beverage related stock items and familiar with the use of all required trade portals
• Provide bespoke beverage offerings, such as cocktails, for upcoming events. Valentine's Day, NYE etc.
• Collaborate with venue manager, operations, marketing, functions and kitchen departments when planning activations. Wine dinners, beer events, cocktail events etc.
• Weekly beverage prep. Oversee or delegate pre-batching of cocktails, making syrups. Ensuring sufficient holdings for all trading days.
