The City of Karratha is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join our Approvals & Compliance team as our Building Coordinator.

Karratha is already known as one of WA’s largest regional centres and continues to expand. Over the next 2 Years, new major projects will generate additional growth which will provide you with opportunity in this role to quickly grow your knowledge of both the construction and resources industries.
The City of Karratha only has two qualified building surveyor positions so there is a lot of scope to get involved in a wide range of projects. You will be part of the City’s Approvals & Compliance team, which is committed to helping grow the City. We assist customers, ensure standards are met and have a strong team-based approach.

The successful candidate will possess:
- Building Surveyor Practitioner Level 1 or 2 Registration with the Department Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within either a local government (highly desirable) or private consultancy.
- Current C class driver’s licence
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
