About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction & Maintenance team! The City is looking for a community-minded individual to be our next Coordinator Building Security Services. This position will lead the Building Security Services team in undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on the City’s security infrastructure. It is a fast-paced position that will require exemplary customer service skills with a willingness to improve the quality of life of the community.

The position will develop and implement planned maintenance programs on security infrastructure and their supporting IT networks, as well as operate the City’s Security Operations Room. The position will lead a positive customer service and safety culture within the team to ensure that the security network performs at a high standard, which keeps the community safe.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, ensuring the team deliver outstanding customer service, whilst undertaking maintenance works safely, in a timely manner, to quality standards and within budgetary constraints.

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Facilities Management, Information Technology or Cybersecurity or extensive industry experience within a relevant area; ideally supported by a WA Police Licence (class 1, 2 or 4) and a tertiary qualification in Management or Leadership.
  • An understanding of Local Government infrastructure and security maintenance requirements.
  • Experience leading teams to high safety and service delivery outcomes.
  • Exemplary customer service skills, with the ability to lead the implementation of customer service processes
  • High level of communication skills to deal with internal and external stakeholders and a willingness to make a difference to improve the quality of life for our community
  • The ability to develop, monitor and report on planned maintenance programs.
  • Current Driver’s License
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate

The salary for this position will be from $103,827 to $116,957 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
