About the role

We are currently looking for a dedicated Business Administration Trainee to join our NSW Fire Services team. The role will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and office support activities. 

This role is based in Sydney Olympic Park. You will participate in a 12 month Business Administration traineeship through TAFE.  This role would suit someone who has recently completed their HSC (Year 12) and is looking to move into developing their skills and career in Business Administration.  

During your traineeship, you will become involved in: 

  • Administrative and clerical duties
  • Collection of data, data entry
  • Auditing of relevant documentations
  • Forms being signed and scanned
  • Schedule meetings, welcome clients, guests and employees
  • Contributing to the preparation of reports and correspondence
  • record keeping, archiving
  • Provide backup support to the office administration/coordinating team as required

What you will need to succeed:

  • Essential Criteria: Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge and interest in clerical and administrative procedures and systems 
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • Do not have Cert III or above qualifications in Business
