In this role you will
- Provide expertise in passenger and freight timetabling to support Service Planning projects with operational insights.
- Manage communication and change management, championing transformation initiatives across the business.
- Ensure safety responsibilities are met according to Sydney Trains' safety management system.
- Embody NSW Public Sector and organizational values to drive outstanding outcomes.
- Collaborate with business users to understand needs, map processes, and analyse requirements.
- Support project teams and vendors with operational expertise to optimize business processes.
- Lead project teams, vendors, and developers in timetabling data sourcing and analysis.
- Create best practice tools and templates to enhance framework implementation.
- Deliver accurate and timely project status updates to Operations Excellence and Service Planning leadership.
- Update process, procedure, and policy documentation to reflect changes from transformation activities or new systems.

About you
- Experience with timetabling trains and service optimization using network, infrastructure, crewing, and fleet constraints.
- Proven ability to develop effective relationships with key business users, stakeholders, vendors, and Group Rail IT.
- Experience in supporting transformational change across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in an industrially sensitive operational environment while ensuring effective integration of new processes, systems, and changes.
- In-depth knowledge of freight and/or passenger train planning considerations and restrictions.
- Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Proven experience in supporting change and transformation initiatives.
