Business Analyst

Working on a Project for Federal Government, we are seeking two professional and experienced Business Analysts to join the Project team. 

Overview

The successful candidates must be based in Canberra, acting as conduits on site with a Federal Government Agency and our technical teams located in Sydney and Brisbane. 

You will work closely with the stakeholders to triage and prioritise multiple change requests. You will analyse and document business requirements, processes and assist with undertaking technical assessments. The role is part of a multi-disciplinary capability delivery team and will be required to work on several change requests, while working on broader projects concurrently.

You will require strong communication and engagement skills and will be required to work with a range of government and team stakeholders. The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions is essential. You will also need to be able to quickly adapt to the changing needs of our client and projects, and work with other teams to ensure those requirements are met.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Baseline Security Clearance
• Must have a proven background in Applications Development and Software projects
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Analysis or a related field or equivalent experience in industry/discipline
• Prior experience in a similar role for over 10+ years
• Prior experience in working with a Government Department on technology projects

Technical SkillsOne of the two BA roles will be more on the technical side and will also require the following:

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, designs and specifications
• Previous experience with cloud-based applications
• Previous experience in software development companies as a technical BA
• Strong foundation in:
  • key programming languages
  • database design and programming methodologies and
  • data visualization and reporting tools
• Strong understanding of system architecture
• Strong data analysis skills
• Able to perform system integration & gap analysis
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into simplistic UI/UX outcomes
