Our organisation, a leader in the industrial capital goods sector, is currently seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive our growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in Business Development within the industrial sector, a strong network of contacts, and the ability to build a customer database from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a sales process from scratch to identify, engage, and convert potential clients.
- Act as a hunter to actively seek new business opportunities and open doors to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to develop effective business strategies.
- Build a customer database from scratch, maintain accurate records, and provide regular sales forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Development or sales role within the industrial sector.
- Proven ability to build a sales process, identify new business opportunities, and close deals.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
- Ability to build a customer database and maintain accurate records.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
