Job description

We're looking for a passionate, innovative, and experienced Business Development Manager to be a key player in our 3D Sales team.

Aerometrex is a trusted and leading geospatial tech company specialising in providing geospatial solutions & insights for our customers in both Australia and the US. Our key products - MetroMap, LiDAR and 3D visualisation models support wide-ranging industries and customer requirements. About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Global 3D, this role will be responsible for driving new business sales and retaining and growing key accounts for the company’s 3D product line.

About 3D

Aerometrex offers a world-leading 3D modelling service offers multiscale models captured via air & ground. These offer extremely high-resolution datasets ranging from 7.5 cm to sub-cm. These 3D models provide greater context to projects and the ability to derive more features & insights via classification of data.

With projects completed across Australia, New Zealand, USA and Europe, Aerometrex 3D is a leading player in the global 3D market.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of representing our 3D products at industry-specific conferences and exhibitions, building brand awareness, and driving our 3D business objectives to achieve revenue targets. Your goal will be to identify new business opportunities through prospecting, engaging with senior GIS specialists and executive customers, and nurturing relationships with our existing clients. As a representative of Aerometrex, you'll conduct customer and prospect meetings with professionalism, ensuring that each interaction is well-planned with clear objectives and next steps. Your ability to write impactful proposals, lead tender responses, and provide expert advice on Aerometrex products and solutions will be key to your success. You'll also collaborate closely with peers in other product lines to uncover cross-selling opportunities and maintain a robust 30-60-90 day sales pipeline. To excel in this role, you'll need to stay on top of industry trends, business drivers, and competitive situations, ensuring you're always ahead of the curve.

About you

To be considered for this role you will possess a unique blend of skills and experience that include being self-motivated and team-oriented, having a deep understanding of Business Development, a talent for influencing, and the ability to adapt seamlessly in a dynamic work environment. You will excel in relationship management and demonstrate proficiency in crafting effective tender responses. Commercial acumen is a must, as is the ability to identify and solve complex problems through analytical thinking and strategic planning. In addition, a willingness to travel locally and interstate is essential, and a proven track record of at least 8 years sales experience within a technology-based industry.
