Established as a family business in 1984, Independent Battery Distributors (IBD) is a leading wholesale and retail distributor of a comprehensive range of quality automotive batteries for motor vehicles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, deep cycle applications, marine, agriculture etc. We have developed and maintained a solid reputation for quality products, including the iconic BOSCH range of batteries, backed up with technical competence.
Our parent company Ramcar ANZ operates a diverse range of businesses across Australia and New Zealand, including battery supply, battery recycling, mobile service and automotive services.
About the Job
Largely autonomous, you will exhibit the enthusiasm, energy and discipline to manage your own role to achieve your agreed objectives, KRAs and KPIs. 80% of this role is new Business Development through targeted call schedules, with 20% managing relationships with your newly acquired customer base, maintaining customer call records and reporting to management.
Your main duties:
- Cold call on the agreed target list of potential customers as well as those identified by yourself;
- Deliver sales propositions around strong brands and value;
- Handle and deliver automotive batteries and associated products if required;
- Work safe and follow safety procedures;
