Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation’s ("FMIC") Australia team, we are looking for an enthusiastic BDM who can develop plans and forecast sales targets, growth projections and identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels.

We are searching for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER based in SYDNEY. This professional will be responsible for our New South Wales and ACT territories, ensuring that the whole of the catalog is represented in the dealers and that the monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets are achieved through daily monitoring and by providing Business Development advice to the dealers, actively encouraging the utilization of FMIC assets to promote effective New Product Introductions (NPI), staff training via Fender Academy, adherence to product ranging displays and programs and the solicitation of forward and current orders.
The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the complete portfolio of Fender brands
- Drive Business Development through:
- Regular analysis of dealer performance by Product Line (PL) and feedback of results and opportunities to dealers
- 100% adoption of NPI
- Utilization of FMIC assets at Core dealers
- Staff training via Fender Academy (and others) at CORE dealers
- Regular dealer visits
- Regular reporting and competitor activity updates
- Ensure FMA business strategies are implemented and objectives are achieved
- Dealer ranging commitments are maintained
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of distribution channels in conjunction with General Manager.
- Present products and target customers to Dealers.
- Merchandising
- Assist with FMA shows
- Contribute to SIOP process.
- Contribute to suggested updates to dealer stocking requirements and trading terms
- Contribute to product segmentation decisions
- CRM updates as required
- Knowledge of MI retail and wholesale is a big plus.
- Other duties and work as required
